SUMMARY

This project deals with the development of a Mobile Corneal Topographer Application that started as a part of Engineering The Eye 2016 hackathon conducted by L.V. Prasad Eye Institute and M.I.T. Media Lab at Srujana Innovation Center, Hyderabad. I further worked on this during my internship there.

Our project's vision is to democratize corneal topography in low resource areas by developing a low-cost mobile attachment and application that works as a miniature corneal topographer, a device which maps the surface curvature of cornea.

Bullseye would be used by doctors — who spend most of their time taking critical decisions concerning the life of others, hence I designed the UX to be as non-intrusive to a doctor's workflow as possible and opted for a minimal style with a mellow colour scheme. A major consideration in this was to present map information lucidly. Read the case study for this project to learn more about the process behind it.
